David Hansom
Solicitor, Eversheds LLP

David is a solicitor in Eversheds’ national procurement group. He specialises in public sector procurement and advises central and local government departments, public authorities, the third sector and leading private sector contractors.
He advises both the public and utilities arenas on issues ranging from day-to-day application to the procurement management/structuring of major projects across a variety of sectors. He is experienced in the application of public procurement rules in regeneration and development projects.
He frequently leads on procurement aspects of deals conducted pursuant to both the Private Finance Initiative and traditional procurement routes (with particular experience in competitive dialogue). He also has experience of defending and bringing procurement challenges.
Within the third sector and shared services arenas, David has delivered national training to Commissioners in conjunction with the Cabinet Office, and is currently advising on a number of innovative strategic partnering and shared service arrangements.
