The
elegant St John’s Hotel takes up a fantastic
location in the United Kingdom’s second city
and offers a great setting for conferences, events
or quite simply for a relaxing break. The Hotel was
formerly known as the Marriott Renaissance Solihull
Hotel but is now part of the Principal Hayley group,
putting it in the same circles as the likes of the
George Hotel in Edinburgh and the Royal York Hotel
in York.
It is conveniently situated just a few minutes from
the M42 motorway and approximately four miles from
Birmingham International Airport. It takes around
10 minutes to drive the Birmingham’s city centre
from the Hotel where guests are able to experience
the likes of Cadbury World, Broadfield House Glass
Museum, the National Sea Life Centre and the Botanical
Gardens at Edgbaston.
Of
course, there is also the National Exhibition Centre
which hosts top concerts and events throughout the
year.
St
John’s is particularly conducive to holding
large scale events and conferences thanks to its 13
meeting rooms. This means it is ideal for weddings
too, especially with its staff on hand to ensure everything
goes according to plan. The rooms can be used for
a variety of different purposes with the two largest
facilities able to host 750 and 400 guests.
If
staying at the Hotel overnight there is a choice of
180 bedrooms which are stylishly decorated with a
modern feel to them. For meal times the main restaurant,
named after the building’s road number, serves
an array of English and other international dishes.
There is also a bar, allowing for a relaxing drink
into the evening or for meals during the day. If guests
are looking to spend some time unwinding during their
stay there is a swimming pool and a spa, as well as
a gym for those who want to keep on top of their fitness
